| The greatest change in me is the JOY! |

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3
First, I want to say I’m so glad I came to Poland. I had a choice of going to Africa and applied but didn’t get on the team. I knew God was telling me “no”, but I didn’t know what else He had in mind. In the end I found a small trip to Poland with a small team, but I also found some of the biggest hearts ever here in Warsaw. This was my first overseas mission trip and I hope to do many more!
I could say that the people here changed me, or that the experience changed me, but really it was God working through the people and the experiences using them to change me. I was so overjoyed to come and I wanted to be as friendly as possible and I think God took advantage of my open heart to do some renovation inside.
I had expected to be changed on this trip but as always, God does what you don’t expect and this time he changed me but in a different way. I had expected to grow and I suppose I have, but the greatest change in me is the joy I’ve found by looking at the children and knowing you made their day.
(For those of you who know me – Imagine that I bounce and talk all the time because of joy. Now add more joy! What do you get? That’s right – more talking, smiles, and energy.) That joy was helpful when I did my music workshop. I would be so physically tired near the end of the day, but then more kids would come in the room and I saw them smiling and I knew I had to keep going for them.
I’ve been so blessed and want to thank everyone involved – you made the experience unique for me as well as the kids. Dziekujemy, Michelle "Mysz" Manthei (16) USA
