“Saviour, He can move the mountains. Our God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save. Forever, the author of Salvation, Jesus conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave.” J
On the 24th June our team of 20 was complete as another 14 people joined our group to prepare for camp. The team was very tired but excited as we got to work straight away. We had the opportunity to visit the Soup kitchen in “Arka” (another Foundation here in Warsaw) and to distribute food to the people there. This really opened my eyes more to the needs of the people in Poland as I thought about what we were doing and the difference this small amount of food meant to the people there. On the 26th June the chaos and fun of camp began. Our main aim this week was to present the gospel to the children as clearly as we could and in everything that we did.
In the morning assemblies we took the children on an adventure through the Bible from creation to the Resurrection of Christ.
In the evening assemblies we took a look at some of the adventures in the life of Paul. Of course we had our team dances, dramas, songs and testimonies and we really enjoyed and appreciated all that the Polish worship group did in these assemblies also.
This camp really opened my eyes more and more to the need here in Poland. There are so many children in need of the saviour, so many children trapped in a world of sin, hopelessness and despair. We have an amazing message to share with the children. It is a message of HOPE, a message of LOVE, a message of JOY and a message of FORGIVENESS.
The highlight of these camps for me is always the evangelisation night. It thrills my heart to see children crying out to God to rescue them. My prayer is that these children would hold on to God and that they would grow and grow in their faith.
Our God is mighty to save and I believe that this is going to be an amazing summer here in Poland. It has been such a privilege to serve here this summer and to have the opportunity to meet so many precious children. - Grace Knox
