For most of us, Birthdays are special days; Joyful days we want to celebrate with those close to us. Have you ever thought about sharing this JOY with others, those in need who you may never even meet?

Recently a former neighbor of mine celebrated her Birthday. It also happened that a close friend had her Birthday at about the same time. Both of them decided that they wanted to celebrate in a special way this year and asked their family and friends not to buy them anything but rather donate the funds they would have spent to be collected and donated to a charitable organization.

Shortly after this special Birthday party she contacted me and asked if the Christian Radosc Foundation would be able to use such funds to help people in need. I in turn was able to present her a plan that would gradually use these donated funds to meet some of the most critical needs of our 500 dependants. I also offered her a few specific situations which we currently had and after some discussion we came to an agreement.

Shortly after this the funds were received on the Foundation’s account and we began applying them to some of the most urgent needs of our dependants; buying additional food, medicine for sick children, paying electric bills, etc. One example: we were able to take a mother of 6, along with her children, shopping for winter clothes and then finished the day by treating them all to Happy Meal’s at a local McDonalds. They all returned home happy, fed, and VERY thankful for this help.

Maybe YOU could consider doing something similar on your next Birthday or other special occasion? This special kind of help is needed all through the year and we are happy to discuss with you the different options and ideas to help you share your JOY with those most in need. How these gifts are to be spent will be agreed upon before any action is taken and we will provide you with a full report, including some photos and copies of the receipts, so you too can share in these blessings.

It is also possible to donate still usable items which can be shared with our dependants: Clothing and shoes for babies, children, and adults, home appliances and other kitchen items. TV sets, computers and other electronics, and all types of furniture. Literally anything you no longer need but which can still be used by others, we are happy to receive. We even provide transport within the greater Warsaw area.
