My first contact with the Christian Radosc Foundation was four years ago during summer vacation. Some of the children which I am responsible for in my work as a Social Curator told me about the Kid’s Club and Day Camps (VBS) in Otwock and Radosc. They were very happy and spoke very highly about them.
  They said that everything was well planned and well organized. A bus would come to pick them up, almost at their doorsteps. These children are from very poor homes and sentenced to spend their vacations at home or rather on the streets without proper care.
The Foundation’s workers and volunteers provided fun activities and took very good care of the children, as well as feeding them.  In the evenings the children, well fed and happy were returned to their homes. Often the children would tell me about how much they enjoyed their time on these days, what they ate, the interesting things they did, where they went and who they played with. They always were very excited about it.
As everybody knows Henryk (Podsiadly) does not only feed the children during their camps. Often he arrives at the homes of the children with a van filled with food, fruit and sweets. Children surround the van looking into it, knowing that they will receive something they have been dreaming about. Everybody waits with excitement for these gifts which make them very happy, fulfilling the hope hidden deep in their hearts.
 They often knew when the van was coming and waited for this moment with great excitement. Sometimes Henryk comes unexpectedly with diary products, sweet roles and other bakery items. The children enjoy such unexpected visits even more. Over time the range of donated items have grown larger and these poor families also receive clothing, shoes, toys and even furniture.
 Thanks to the Christian Radosc Foundation many children in Józefow do not go hungry. Many children from these poor or dysfunctional families could for the first time spend their vacations having a great time at Day Camps and camps all over Poland. For example, last summer the camp in Wisla gave them many unforgettable experiences and memories.
 I want to mention that the parents did not need to pay anything and certainly if it wasn’t for the Christian Radosc Foundation and the hard work of its members and volunteers these kids would not have been able to go anywhere. It is so great how these people can work with these poor and sometimes abandoned children, living in very difficult circumstances, expecting nothing in return. 
  The Foundation allows children to experience a great time of joy and happiness, giving them a feeling of security, meeting their most basic needs. Children feel that they are important and loved and they know that they can count on someone
