The Awful Truth About The Childhood of Polish Children... Print E-mail

From the Daily Newspaper "Dziennik Polski":

Polish children are finding themselves in the worse situation materially in all of Europe. The paper also states that they are surrounded by an emotional emptiness, which they are trying to fill with “things”. The paper also mentions that more than 41 thousand children in the last year found themselves victims of domestic violence, 106 became destitute, and it was also noted that there were 28 cases of infanticide.

Justyna's and Sylwia's father asked for coal for winter. This need was met by Mel.

Chris' and Pawel's mother Krystyna asked for a bicycle. This need was met by Marianna.

 Orphans from Konstancin - Jeziorna had a big list of dreams. Parents of the pupils of the American School of Warsaw (ASW) met the all the needs.

Kamil requested for shoes.

Konrad and his brother Adam received a bicycle from Tristan a son of Missionaries serving in Warsaw.

Chris' parents and uncle Henryk wanted him to graduate from school. He did it.

Sylwia and Justyna needed school books. They received two sets.

Father of Andrzejek and Sylwia asked for bread for the family. The donor is one of Warsaw's bakeries which regularly donates all different kinds of bread, roles, sweet roles, cakes and pizzas.

A grandmother received shoes for her grandchildren which were given by Gina.

Monika has six children (one with a brain damage). She had no money to pay the electricity bill. They cut off the power. Tomek helped and paid the bills and they restored the power. I want to stay at Monika a little while. Because of bad conditions of her present small flat the authorities took away three of her six children and they said they would give them back when she gets a better and bigger apartment. That is a big problem. Maybe someone has an idea how to help Monika. If you do please let me know at:
