The Christian Joy Foundation 2007 Newsletter Print E-mail

The year 2007 for the Christian Joy Foundation because of the signing of the Framework Agreement with the Baptist Seminary began with great hopes for the future. The contract gives us a possibility to develop our ministry and to use the campus for our camps and all the different projects. After we invested some funds and time we started using the rented premises in the conference building.  Quite a few big camps, day camps, discipleship weekends were organize at this site.

Soup Tent July 2007 Print E-mail

The soup tent has been operating for one month.  It takes place on a Monday to Friday from 1.30 -2.00 pm.  Each person receives a bowl of soup, bread and a drink and if there is any surplus food from the kitchen it is also given.  People bring containers and bags with them to take away any left over soup and bread.  The bread is kindly donated by a local bakery.  At first numbers were small but as the word spread numbers increased.

Feeding station 2007 Print E-mail

On our second week in Poland Henryk wanted the team to help him with delivering ford supplies to his list of 450 dependents.  Normally he would be doing these food deliveries by himself with maybe two or three helping him, but this time he had planned that all 13 of the team would help him.

Clothes and food distribution Print E-mail

A few photos of the distribution of the clothes sent from France and the food from the Food Bank this week.
The biggest parcel clothes went to one of the homes for single mothers that I work with, the other parcel received a lady who lives with her daughter and three grandchildren. The last parcel received two ladies - neighbours who applied for some clothes. They all enjoyde the clothes very much.

I have very good relations with the Food Bank here in Warsaw. They give me a few tons of food monthly from a European Project and often they call me to pick up more food from super markets with short expired dates. I distubute the loads of food to my 450 dependants the same day. I need financial support for this project. Could you please consider a possibility to help and cover the fuel and the van maitanance?

Yours in service for the Lord and the neighbours,
Henryk Podsiadły
